The Farm // The Story
Finca La Familia is a beautiful 15 acre family run farm in Jayaque, El Salvador that our Head of Operations, Chris Miller first travelled to in December 2015. We were in pursuit of our first DIRECT TRADE relationship with a small family-run coffee farm. We have been been buying our beans directly from the farm every year since. In doing so, we commit to more than the bare-bone Fair Trade standard pricing. We want to sow into the lives of people and celebrate their great work!

Four years later, and we are still honored to be one of the signature roasters partnering with the Williams family as they invest into the families that live and work at Finca La Familia year-round. Order a bag of the 2019 Harvest and explore this exciting and distinctive coffee at home!

The Coffee // The Crop
Red Bourbon is a coffee varietal that is sweet, complex and full flavored. Natural processing using sun-drying methods yields lush and complex flavors in this coffee that will surprise you and delight your pallete. Watch our videos below for a window into the people and land that make this coffee so special and read on to learn more about why we are partnering with FINCA LA FAMILIA to offer this vibrant and exciting coffee!

Maker Coffee is a product of love. It is the tangible fruit of our family daring to dream together. We source and hand roast our coffee one small batch at a time to ensure the best possible flavor. Our hope is that it would awaken your senses, fuel your creativity and inspire moments worth savoring. All coffee proceeds help support the 18 Inch Journey and our year-round discipleship schools on the grounds of A Place for the Heart.
