Finca Villeja - Guatamala
(Medium Bodied + Sweet)
Nelson and Assaei Monterroso are a father and son duo that have restored coffee farming in their family. When the price of coffee reached a historical low their family decided to leave the business. Now with help form his son Asael, Nelson has been able to combine his experience in farming with the creativity and innovation of his son. They pay special attention to the varietal they grow and do an outstanding job of delivering the maroon colored coffee cherries to the mill. This has helped bring a delightful sweetness, clarity and a consistency to their coffee.
We have thoroughly enjoyed using this Guatemalan coffee for all of our espresso needs in this season. It's also great for making bigger batches of coffee as it's a crowd pleaser!
